About this role:
The Training Manager owns the technical and operational training strategy for the site, building the capability of the hourly and salaried workforce. This role designs and delivers training programs, manages certification and skills matrices, and ensures the workforce is qualified to meet safety, quality and productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Owns the site training strategy, curriculum and certification framework.
- Designs and delivers technical and operational training for hourly and salaried employees.
- Builds and maintains skills matrices, qualification records and training compliance.
- Develops train-the-trainer capability and a network of certified trainers on the floor.
- Partners with Operations, Quality and EH&S to close capability gaps.
- Manages onboarding and orientation training for new hires.
- Measures training effectiveness and its impact on safety, quality and productivity.
- Leads and develops the training team and training resources.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of training, learning & development or operations experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2+ years of leadership.
- 2+ years of experience designing and delivering technical/operational training programs.
- 2+ years of experience leading train-the-trainer programs and facilitating high-impact team workshops.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Education, Human Resources, Business
- Experience supporting large-scale hiring and workforce ramp-up.
- Experience building skills matrices, certification programs and training compliance records.
- Knowledge of Lean training systems (TWI, standard work, job instruction).
- Ability to measure training effectiveness and link it to operational KPIs.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems and safety requirements.
- Certification in instructional design or learning & development.
Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $96,000.00 - $192,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate. The pay range will not be below the minimum wage applicable to the jurisdiction in which the applicant is to be employed.
Other Compensation
Thisposition is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
