Job Summary

Training Lead

Artemis is seeking a full-time Training Lead to plan, create, and deliver training that equips the Veteran and Family Member Program (VFMP) workforce to adopt new processes, software, and automations delivered under the VFMP Modernization Portfolio. This role develops training plans and materials, delivers instructor-led and web-based training events, and measures transfer of learning so staff adopt new systems with the lowest resistance within six months of implementation.

The Training Lead role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in training development and delivery supporting technology and process change. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position.

Offers will be contingent upon client approval, ability to meet security requirements, and the ability to adhere to any on-site requirements (which may change at contract award).

Remote work is anticipated. However, occasional travel for client engagements may be required.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Develop training plans, training materials, PowerPoint presentations, recordings, and other audiovisual media supporting adoption of new processes, software, and automations from FY25 and FY26 modernization efforts.
  • Deliver training events for the VA workforce via instructor-led (classroom or conference/seminar) and web-based formats.
  • Analyze learning needs, identify communication and skill requirements, and translate needs into training modules and remedial materials that address performance gaps.
  • Conduct training evaluations and measure transfer of learning, supporting workforce adoption of new systems within six months of implementation.
  • Align training delivery with projects as outlined in the VFMP Modernization Integrated Master Schedule, and coordinate with Knowledge Management to ensure training reflects current SOPs and employee desk procedures.
  • Maintain trackers annotating completion of planned training events, and support after action reviews to assess effectiveness and continually improve.
  • Perform training-related administrative tasks, including maintaining training databases and scheduling training events.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience planning, creating, and delivering training via instructor-led and web-based formats.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience developing training materials (presentations, recordings, workbooks, and job aids) supporting new systems, software, or process rollouts.
  • Experience conducting training evaluations and measuring learning outcomes.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize and work well with others.
  • Ability to communicate thoughts, ideas and solutions logically both written and orally.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to receive feedback from clients and implement changes quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to get up to speed quickly on complex issues.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
