This position is for Parker Hannifin's Composite Sealing Systems Division, located in San Diego (Otay Mesa), California.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The training coordinator is responsible for administering and improving training programs, documentation, and tracking processes across the UHP business unit. They partner with department leaders and functional teams to standardize training requirements, support compliance needs, and ensure team members receive the appropriate training for their roles. They also manage LMS activities, training records, certifications, and related metrics to monitor completion and effectiveness. Additionally, this position supports new hire orientation, recurring training, skills development, and knowledge transfer initiatives.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage the Learning Management System (LMS) to assign, track, report, and maintain training, retraining, certification, and renewal requirements.
  • Maintain training forms, records, and documentation in accordance with established procedures, compliance requirements, and audit standards.
  • Partner with department leaders to standardize training programs, requirements, and documentation across functional areas, with an initial focus on manufacturing positions.
  • Develop and maintain training programs for new hires, retraining, cross-training, certifications, and trainer qualification requirements.
  • Create standard training materials, including presentations, work instructions, guides, templates, and supporting resources.
  • Gather feedback from team members, leads, supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders to evaluate and improve training effectiveness.
  • Identify and report metrics to measure training completion, effectiveness, compliance, and business impact.
  • Collaborate with HR, EHS, IT, Quality, and other functional leaders to support regulatory, audit, safety, and compliance training needs.
  • Align training content and requirements with skills matrices, career ladders, performance reviews, 30-60-90-day plans, and job descriptions.
  • Define skills matrix proficiency criteria and related training expectations for each level.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities for highly skilled, tenured, specialized, or critical roles.
  • Coordinate new hire orientation, annual training, recurring compliance training, and related scheduling or documentation needs.
  • With support from quality, manage the certified operator process, including requirements, documentation, tracking, certification, and recertification.
  • Conduct random and standard internal audits of training programs, records, and certifications.
  • Follow established safety and environmental policies, procedures, and methods applicable to the work area.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.
Experience:
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience administering or utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS) or other training tracking systems.
  • Experience collaborating with supervisors, managers, functional leaders, and cross-functional teams to support training or compliance initiatives.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or standardizing training materials, work instructions, documentation, or process guides.
  • Experience supporting new hire orientation, onboarding, annual training, or recurring compliance training.
Skills:
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend complex instructions, detailed correspondences, and memos in English.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish or Tagalog preferred.
  • Ability to administer and maintain training records, documentation, certifications, and related tracking systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn, use, and support a Learning Management System (LMS) or other training tracking tools.
  • Ability to develop, revise, and organize training materials, work instructions, forms, presentations, and process documentation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members, leads, supervisors, managers, and functional leaders.
  • Ability to collect, review, and summarize training feedback and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and follow through on training-related tasks and projects.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle employee training records and documentation appropriately.
  • Ability to identify process gaps and recommend improvements to training programs, documentation, and tracking methods.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods of time.

Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $30.75/hr to $47/hr
