OVERVIEW

The National Retail Organization (NRO) is seeking a Walmart Retail Trade Planning Lead (TPL) to provide the NRO and Walmart customer selling team with analytic, trade planning, and trade systems support to advance General Mill's Partnership with Walmart across our entire portfolio. In this role you will partner with the Walmart Sr. Retail Customer Manager on end-to-end execution at Walmart. You will work closely with the NRO Business Development Operations (BDOPs) team, NRO Retail Customer Managers (RCMs), Walmart Senior Customer Managers (SCMs), Walmart Customer Team TPL/As, and Cat Mgmt. You will lead a standardized, integrated process for the planning, development, and execution of WM In store selling activities across all Customer Teams (all OU's) to enable NRO Selling.

Strong candidates for this role will have previous experience working with the NRO, Walmart account, the ability to flex between strategic vision and execution, and strong analytics experience.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

EXECUTIONAL EXCELLENCE

1. Leads a standardized, integrated process for the planning, development and execution of WM SSRs across all Customer Teams to enable NRO selling

2. Partners with customer teams to develop offers that maximize multiple inputs to drive selling effectiveness:
  • Leverages sell through data (Cat Mgmt. source) early in process
  • Data led SKU mix and pallet/offer configurations
  • Satisfies Walmart in store requirements: i.e. pallet heights to reach WM pricing signage, etc.

3. Develops effective and impactful offer selling materials
  • Shopper focused and data led selling insights to support offer
  • Syndicated/Nielsen data to better educate everyone on our opportunities (i.e. share, growth, competitive)
  • Luminate/Scintillate shopper data to drive Walmart relevance
  • Evolve to store specific data into sell sheets to increase sales/impact

4. Partners with key stakeholders (RCMs, SCMs, BDOPs) to drive alignment and visibility to goals, debrief results and apply key learnings

5. Leads a standardized, integrated process for the planning, development and execution of WM SCOG across all Customer Teams (all OU's) to enable NRO Selling

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience in sales, account management, trade funding, category management or other relevant experience
  • Successful demonstration of analytical skills using various data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI, CPM, sales data)
  • Must be proficient in software packages (Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) & internal systems (Trade Planner/AVE)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance analytics, streamline trade planning processes, and drive data-informed recommendations.
  • Internal systems knowledge (Trade Planner, AVE, Engine, AFO, etc.)
  • Walmart systems knowledge (Luminate, E2Open, Form Submission, Item 360, etc.)
  • Willingness to relocate for future GMI career opportunities


ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS

SALARY RANGE

The salary range for this position is:
$82,400 - $123,800 Annual
