Position Summary

Trulioo is seeking a forward-thinking Total Rewards Specialist to join our People Team. Reporting to the Manager, People, this role combines core compensation expertise with a strong focus on data, automation, and scalable workflows. You will support the design and delivery of global total rewards programs while leveraging modern tools, AI, and process optimisation to improve efficiency, insight generation, and decision-making across the organisation. This role plays a key part in evolving our reward practices into a more data-driven, technology-enabled function.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in our San Diego office, operating on a hybrid model (3 days per week in-office), but can be done remotely for the right candidate.

What You'll be Doing:

Total Rewards & Program Delivery
  • Contribute to compensation activities including job leveling, market matching, and career framework support, applying AI-assisted tools where appropriate to accelerate analysis and improve consistency.
  • Support the setup and execution of annual compensation review cycles within compensation tools and People systems, identifying opportunities to automate or streamline manual steps.
  • Support salary benchmarking and analyse internal compensation data, participating in external remuneration surveys to support market competitiveness and internal equity.
  • Support compensation processes across multiple regions, ensuring alignment with local market practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reward processes through automation, AI tooling, and workflow redesign, and contribute to the development and maintenance of SOPs.
  • Lead the administration and ongoing maintenance of bonus and incentive plans, including eligibility, targets, performance measures, and payout calculations.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable, AI-enabled self-service tools and resources that help leaders and employees better understand reward philosophy, pay decisions, and career frameworks.
  • Support pay equity analyses and audits to ensure fair and consistent compensation practices.
  • Ensure reward and benefits practices comply with relevant legislation, internal policies, and governance frameworks across multiple regions
  • Contribute to People-related projects and tasks as required.

People Analytics, Data & AI Enablement
  • Build and maintain scalable dashboards and reporting solutions for headcount, compensation, and workforce insights.
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to enhance data analysis, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights.
  • Translate complex data (e.g. performance, engagement, reward) into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders.
  • Partner with People Ops, Finance, and Talent Acquisition teams to align data models, definitions, and reporting cadence.
  • Ensure data integrity through validation processes, governance standards, and continuous monitoring.

What You'll Bring:
  • Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years' experience in total rewards or compensation roles.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs including benchmarking, incentives, job leveling, and annual review cycles.
  • Experience supporting compensation across multiple regions, with an understanding of local market practices.
  • Experience with salary benchmarking tools (e.g. Pave, Ravio, Radford, Mercer).
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS, compensation platforms, or analytics tools (e.g. Workday, BambooHR, Visier, Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools or AI-enabled platforms in an HR context is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets and generate actionable insights.
  • Systems-oriented mindset with an interest in automation, AI, and process optimisation.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience with data visualisation and reporting tools preferred.
  • High attention to detail with strong data governance and quality control practices.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences.
