Total Rewards Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy experienced HR professional to join our team as a Total Rewards Specialist. The ideal candidate will have specialized total rewards (benefits and compensation) experience and a comprehensive understanding of full-cycle employee benefits administration. This role requires a proactive, highly organized and detail-oriented individual who can navigate the complexities of employee benefits, manage inquiries from employees and support compensation analysis. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to be successful in this role.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Implementing and maintaining agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle


Benefits Administration:
  • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other related benefits
  • Collaborate with external benefits vendors, insurers, and other benefit providers to ensure compliance, resolve issues, and optimize the overall benefits package
  • Support annual open enrollment activities, with updated, accurate information for employees regarding new services or plan changes
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, clarifications, and issue resolution
  • Conduct weekly new hire benefits orientation and ensure updates to benefits information is communicated to all employees
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the company's benefits programs remain competitive and compliant
  • Partner with benefit vendors and internal stakeholders to research and resolve employee benefit issues
  • Assist with benefit audits, reconciliations, reporting, and data validation


Absence Management
  • Support administration of employee leaves of absence and related programs
  • Serve as a resource to employees regarding leave processes, documentation, and available programs
  • Coordinate with employees, HR partners, payroll, benefit vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely leave administration
  • Maintain appropriate leave documentation and records


Compensation
  • Support market pricing and benchmarking of jobs using compensation methodologies and survey data
  • Assist with compensation analyses and salary recommendations for new hires, promotions, transfers, and other employee changes
  • Support the annual merit and compensation review process, including data preparation, validation, reporting, and employee/job updates
  • Assist with maintaining compensation-related data and documentation
  • Provide foundational analytical and reporting support for compensation projects and initiatives


Workday & Data Support
  • Assist with the implementation, maintenance, testing, and utilization of applicable Workday modules and functionality, particularly HCM Core, Benefits, Compensation, Absence, and job-related data
  • Perform audits and data validation to support the accuracy and integrity of information


HR Partnership & Employee Experience
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, HRIS, Finance, vendors, and other stakeholders to support effective Total Rewards program delivery
  • Partner with HR Business Partners to support the maintenance and ongoing review of job descriptions to ensure appropriate requirements
  • Support job and position data maintenance associated with compensation and job architecture activities
  • Maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee and compensation information
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee communications, data accuracy, and the overall Total Rewards experience.
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline, required
  • 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Workday, preferred
  • Certified Compensation and/or Human Resources Professional, preferred
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing at all levels of the organization
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • Maintain strictest confidentiality

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements
  • This position may require access to export controlled technical data or technology subject to NASA regulations, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). In accordance with U.S. export control laws, final candidates may be required to undergo additional export control screening to determine eligibility for access. Meeting these requirements is a condition of employment
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised
  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones
