Full Job Description
Background check, US Citizenship, secret security clearance, and a CAC are requirements for this position. Salary: $82,000 to $87,000 per year based on experience. Completion of a Company Background Investigation, being a US Citizen, and possession of a DOD Secret Clearance are required for this position. The Tactical Tomahawk Weapons Control Center (TTWCS) Learning Center (TLC) provides staff strike planners and warfare commanders with training on the technical details of the Tomahawk Land Attack Missile (TLAM) weapon system's operation, maintenance, and tactical employment. The subject matter expert (SME) will: • Manage the installation process for developing, testing, troubleshooting, and preparing new TLC versions to support training commands and events. • Develop and review technical documentation (e.g., implementation procedures for iPath, switch fixes, development guides, and test procedures). • Coordinate directly with training commands on installation and upgrade timelines. • Prepare Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) and the TTWCS installation schedule, summarizing activity for weekly briefings. • Provide technical expertise for system software and hardware, supporting schoolhouses with troubleshooting, installation/upgrades, and documentation. This includes creating/revising documentation, as well as collecting/reporting data on tasking/capabilities. • Procure, package, and ship materials to various land-based facilities. • Research, identify, analyze, test, and evaluate replacement parts for obsolete hardware and equipment. • Support TLC development by designing, loading/modifying software, implementing updates/upgrades, and verifying current and new equipment and system hardware. Requirements • 6 or more years' experience as an Enlisted Fire Control Technician (NEC V20A, legacy NEC 1136). • 4 to 6 years of shipboard experience minimum. • Active Secret clearance. • Experience leading technical teams in troubleshooting and integration testing is highly desired. • Strong communication skills, with the ability to brief effectively at all organizational levels and work independently. • Proven analytical skills to track, manage, and resolve multiple technical issues effectively. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
