The Tolling Industry Manager is experienced in delivering programmatic, operational, and organization design, transformation and service delivery improvements for tolling agencies and transportation authorities. The Manager will design and implement business changes that drive industry-specific, functional, and digital operating model transformation across tolling operations-with a particular focus on back office systems modernization, customer service operations, and roadside technology integration. The Manager is a collaborative team leader who can guide junior practitioners while engaging directly with client counterparts to drive results.
Ability to travel 75%+.
Here's What You Need:
- A minimum of 5 years of high-value consulting experience
- A minimum of 5 years of public service, transportation, or tolling industry experience
- Demonstrated tolling domain knowledge, including hands-on understanding of back-office systems (customer account management, billing, reconciliation, and violation processing), customer service operations, and roadside systems (toll collection hardware, transponder technology, lane management)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience leading workstreams and meeting deadlines within large, cross-functional teams
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with mid- to senior-level client stakeholders
Bonus Points If:
- Bachelor's degree
- You have experience identifying and helping to shape new client opportunities within the tolling or broader transportation sector
- You have led back-office system implementations, procurements, or operational assessments for a tolling agency or authority
- You bring knowledge of emerging tolling innovations, such as connected and autonomous vehicle tolling, open road tolling architectures, or tolling-as-a-service models
- Solid understanding of the tolling industry competitive landscape, including major technology vendors, system integrators, and the regulatory and policy environment shaping tolling agencies
- Familiarity with key challenges and opportunities facing the tolling industry, including interoperability, revenue leakage, customer experience transformation, and the shift to cashless and all-electronic tolling
- You have government finance and budgeting experience relevant to tolling capital and operating programs
- You have experience bringing innovative ideas to projects and translating them into actionable client solutions
- Ability to work effectively within a team structure, mentoring consultants and coordinating across workstreams to deliver cohesive client outcomes
