About the Role

We are seeking a Title Landman to join our growing team and work directly with project management. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys independent research, takes ownership of their work, and consistently delivers accurate results on schedule.

As a member of our team, you will conduct title and mineral ownership research, analyze public records, and prepare reports that help our clients make informed decisions regarding drilling operations, lease acquisitions, and related activities. Success in this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities
  • Research county records to determine surface and mineral ownership using online databases and, when necessary, by examining records at local county courthouses
  • Analyze and document title and mineral ownership information
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports for client review and project use
  • Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines and production goals
  • Communicate findings and project updates with project managers and team members
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 3 years of experience conducting title, mineral, or ownership research in California
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Energy Management degree may be considered in lieu of some experience when combined with relevant industry knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Experience using Adobe Acrobat
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)
  • Degree in Energy Management, Energy Commerce, or a related field

The Purple Land is a novel set in 19th-century Uruguay by William Henry Hudson, first published in 1885 under the title The Purple Land that England Lost. Initially a commercial and critical failure, it was reissued in 1904 with the full title The Purple Land, Being One Richard Lamb's Adventures in the Banda Orientál, in South America, as told by Himself.
