Position Summary

Porter Wright Morris & Arthur is seeking an experienced, licensed, and highly organized Title Company Manager to oversee the daily administrative and operational elements of the firm's multiple subsidiary title insurance agencies. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of title and escrow operations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the title company, including the management of individual files, closing and escrow processes, and interaction with both underwriters and the Ohio Department of Insurance.
  • Supervise and support title examiners, escrow officers, processors, and administrative staff
  • Ensure transactions are handled accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and underwriter guidelines
  • Manage commercial real estate transactions from opening through closing
  • Prepare title commitments, title policies, settlement statements, and closing documents
  • Resolve title issues, curative matters, and closing discrepancies
  • Maintain relationships with attorneys, lenders, real estate agents, developers, and clients
  • Monitor workflow, productivity, and service standards to ensure timely closings
  • Assist with business development efforts and client relationship management
  • Implement and maintain operational procedures and best practices
  • Coordinate audits, licensing, and compliance requirements

Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of [5+] years of title, escrow, or real estate closing experience
  • Presently hold a valid title insurance agent's license from the Ohio Department of Insurance.
  • Experience managing both residential and commercial transactions
  • Familiarity with state and federal regulations related to title and settlement services
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in title agency software systems such as Soft Pro, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Notary Public license

Preferred Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in handling commercial real estate transactions, including ordering searches, preparing title commitments, resolving title objections and handling an escrow closing.
  • Existing industry relationships within the local real estate market
  • Prior supervisory or management experience preferred
