Therapy Services Director.
The Therapy Services Director, will work with Executive Director and Director of Nursing to develop an in house therapy program. Be an active member of the interdisciplinary team at Grace Pointe ensuring quality outcomes, therapy standards, and billing compliance. Hire PT's, OT's, SLP's PTA's and COTA's to provide therapy services for subacute rehab patients.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide onsite leadership and management of the rehabilitation department to ensure the efficient, compliant, and effective delivery of therapy services. The Therapy Services Director is responsible for overseeing departmental operations, supervising therapy personnel, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring compliance with documentation and MDS requirements, achieving productivity and quality benchmarks, and promoting the highest practicable level of function and well-being for residents served by the facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Direct, coordinate, and oversee the daily operations of the therapy department, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy services.
- Ensure therapy services are delivered in accordance with physician orders, resident care plans, regulatory requirements, and professional standards of practice.
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to therapy staff to promote quality resident outcomes and departmental effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage departmental productivity, staffing utilization, scheduling, and labor expenses.
- Ensure therapy staff meet established productivity, documentation, and performance standards.
- Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes for therapy personnel.
- Collaborate with nursing, MDS, social services, activities, dietary, physicians, and other interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care.
- Participate in required Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings, care plan meetings, Medicare meetings, quality assurance activities, and other facility committees.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, payer, and company regulations governing rehabilitation services.
- Monitor therapy documentation for accuracy, timeliness, completeness, and reimbursement compliance.
- Collaborate with the MDS Coordinator and interdisciplinary team to support accurate resident assessments, care planning, and reimbursement processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Current license to practice Physical or Occupational Therapy issued by the State (PT, OT, PTA, COTA)
