THE ROLE:

  • Pay Range: $50-$60/hr (Plus Relocation Package)


WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Process Technician at Generous Brands will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of thermal pasteurization and aseptic processing systems within a high-volume beverage manufacturing environment. This role ensures the reliable performance of pasteurizers, VTIS units, aseptic tanks, and associated equipment to support safe, high-quality beverage production. The ideal candidate brings advanced mechanical expertise, strong knowledge of thermal and aseptic processing, and hands-on experience with automated control systems.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot thermal pasteurization systems including plate/tubular pasteurizers, Tetra Pak VTIS units, steam-based systems, and heat exchangers.
  • Support and maintain aseptic processing technologies, including sterilization cycles, aseptic hold procedures, and sterile boundary management.
  • Perform skilled diagnostic work on pumps, valves, finishers, batching systems, homogenizers, evaporators, and thermal control equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Alsafe aseptic tanks, including pressure regulation, CIP/SIP sequences, agitation, and sterile air/steam barrier components.
  • Execute preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to maximize uptime and extend equipment life.
  • Partner with Automation/Controls teams to resolve issues with PLC-controlled loops, temperature regulation systems, product hold tubes, and process instrumentation (RTDs, flow meters, pressure transmitters).
  • Monitor and verify compliance with thermal and aseptic processing parameters, CCPs, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, quality, energy efficiency, and process accuracy.
  • Document maintenance activities, parts usage, and recommended system improvements.
  • Uphold strict standards for personnel safety, food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance (FDA, PMO, HACCP, aseptic guidelines).
  • Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including willingness to work variable hours, weekends, and off-shifts as plant needs dictate.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical degree, mechanical trade certification, or equivalent industrial maintenance training preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in pasteurization, aseptic processing, or advanced


ADDITIONAL REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Strong understanding of thermal processing principles, HTST systems, aseptic controls, sterilization methods, and product safety requirements.
    • Hands-on experience with Tetra Pak VTIS systems, homogenizers, and aseptic/Alsafe tanks strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with industrial controls including Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Rockwell PLC/HMI platforms.
    • Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, control schematics, and OEM documentation.
    • Strong mechanical skills with pumps, valves, pneumatics, hydraulics, and fluid-handling systems.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across Production, QA, Engineering, and Maintenance departments.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly automated environment


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of experience working with thermal processing equipment; troubleshooting control loops and process instrumentation
  • 5+ years of experience programming PLC
  • 3 years' experience working with Tetra Pak equipment


PHYSICAL DEMANDS & ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended period of time during work period
