The Opportunity

As a dedicated Testing Technical Product Manager - Mid Level, you will be working with Bank Marketing and Digital department within Bank. This role specifically focuses on testing our campaigns end to end. Builds trust on a team that is focused on end-to-end testing of our marketing systems, with a focus on UAT and Production release validation. Poses a keen eye for automation, leveraging AI to streamline processes and increase the coverage of system testing.

The Technical Product Manager has knowledge of their business and the correlated technology domains. Contributes to the creation of data-driven business and technology strategies to achieve operational objectives and help influence teams to ensure business and technology objectives are aligned. They are responsible for assisting the business in identifying and managing risks, performance issues, and controls related to their domain. They must also be able to set context and goals with their project teams and help monitor systems on a recurring basis.

We offer a flexible work environment that requires an individual to be in the office 4 days per week. This position can be based in one of the following locations: San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, or Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:
  • Assists in the identification and monitoring of Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs) and Business Application Controls (BACs) to mitigate IT risks.
  • Leverages data to provide insights to business and technology leaders to define strategic objectives.
  • Collaborates with business and IT teams to envision, define, and develop technology solutions aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Works with IT to understand industry technical solutions to drive build vs. buy recommendations.
  • Works with team to develop detailed product features, requirements and develops implementation plans/roadmaps.
  • Collaborates with core teams to identify dependencies that impact the roadmap.
  • Assists with the development of business cases for technology solutions.
  • Participates in product/capability solution sessions.
  • Leverages problem-solving techniques to understand, establish, and report on system health/performance.
  • Works with the business and technology to ensure data flow diagrams are accurate and that required data is stored to facilitate operations and analysis.
  • Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.


What you have:
  • Bachelor's degree; OR 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
  • 4 years in a technical product development role, such as technical product manager, software engineer, development manager, business analyst, or architect that includes experience in agile, innovation, problem solving, analytics and system design/ownership.
  • Experience gathering technical requirements related to a business.
  • problem and assisting a team solution.
  • Ability to analyze and leverage data to understand a problem.
  • Working knowledge of business domain laws and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present business and technical concepts to peers.


What sets you apart:
  • 3 to 5 years in an IT role as a tester or project manager.
  • Ability to coordinate across the team ability to work in a fast-paced environment, creative problem solving.
  • End-to-end testing experience in marketing systems, with a focus on UAT and Production release validation.
  • Experience in automation, leveraging AI to streamline processes and increase the coverage of system testing.


Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $108,480 - $207,320

Compensation: USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position. The actual salary for this role may vary by location.

Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.
