Job Description:The Testing and Commissioning - SCADA Lead will be a key member of the Rail and Systems team, reporting to the Package Manager, and supporting the day-to-day activities for the delivery of the assigned System package within the project's allotted time, budget, quality, and safety requirements. This role encompasses the full lifecycle of the system, from design coordination through construction, testing, commissioning (T&C), and post-construction activities until final handover. In addition to general T&C responsibilities, the successful candidate will have proven experience in SCADA systems for rail infrastructure, ensuring reliability, integration, and operational readiness of the control systems across the LRT network.
What You'll Be Doing:- Lead the coordination of design, procurement, installation, and commissioning activities for the assigned System, with a focus on SCADA-related components.
- Ensure the integration of SCADA with other systems (e.g., Signaling, Electrical, Communications, Traffic Control, Interfaced systems, etc.) and maintain alignment with the overall project schedule.
- Track progress on design, ICDs, RFIs, procurement, and other KPIs.
- Review subcontractor documents, administer the Aconex review process, and package documents for submission to the City or EOR.
- Lead and manage the Testing and Commissioning phase, ensuring the pre-installation tests are coordinated with subcontractors and all systems are ready for operational readiness.
- Review and witness Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and System Integration Testing (SIT) procedures, including SCADA interface tests and functionality verification.
- Resolve Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Resolve interface issues between vendors and ensure smooth coordination across systems.
- Manage Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and follow up on schedules for installation and testing.
- Enforce safety protocols during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.
- Ensure conformance of activities and deliverables to the project's quality requirements and apply corrective measures as necessary.
- Coordinate final documentation, including Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals, as-builts, spare parts, and warranty certificates.
- Assist in post-construction activities, including performance demonstrations during the defect notification period.
- Lead weekly progress meetings, document and circulate meeting minutes.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth progress and resolution of any issues.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or related field. A combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Additional qualifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years in rail or infrastructure projects with at least 3 years of experience with Systems (e.g., TCS, TRPS, ATP, CTC, etc.), including practical SCADA integration and commissioning experience.
- Experience with Tram/LRT systems is an asset.
- A background in systems engineering, requirements management, and verification & validation (V&V) processes is highly desirable
