  • Review the adequacy of developmental test approaches and operational test concepts.
  • Coordinate T&E meetings and develop executive-level briefings.

Full Job Description
Position Title:Test Engineers Level II and III (This is a contingent requirement.)

Position Locations: Quantico/Stafford, VA

Position Requirements/Primary Responsibilities:

The Test Engineers at levels II and III willsupport the acquisition lifecycle of Marine Corps systems and equipment through all phases of systems engineering, development, integration, testing, configuration management, quality control, fielding, and sustainment efforts. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • perform analysis for acquisition Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities including reviews, evaluations, and risk assessments.
  • develop T&E documents including test strategies, test concepts, test plans and test reports for developmental, integrated, and operational testing.
  • facilitate access to required DoN tools, iTEST, and iTEMP for T&E workforce.
  • assist with performing T&E activities, reviews, and programmatic assessments of T&E policy at the OSD, DoN, and Marine Corps level.
  • research T&E policies, guidances, and regulations to develop policy recommendations.
  • provide assessment of material discussed in meetings with external agencies at the Service, DoN, and OSD levels.
  • review and assess adequacy of the developmental test approach, operational test concepts, and test reports.
  • coordinate T&E meetings and develop briefings at the working and senior executive level.
  • develop schedule for training, management of workforce data, and interact with multiple agency representatives for the T&E workforce.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical discipline or 6 years of experience related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.
  • Years of experience commensurate with the level:
    • Test Engineer (Level II) - 5-12 years of related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.
    • Lead Test Engineer (Level III) - 12+ years of related experience in testing, engineering, or quality assurance.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Possess knowledge of the acquisition processes and policies as outlined in the DoD 5000.01, DoDI 5000.02 and SECNAVINST 5000.2.
  • Possess working experience with DoN tools, iTEST, and iTEMP and other traceability tools such as DOORS.
  • Possess an ability to work independently and synchronizing tasks with cross-functional teams.
  • Possess the capability to lead tasks which involve tracking risk and providing constant status or process oversight.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, writing and analytical skills to effectively interact both orally and in writing, among a variety of audiences at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly MS Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Secret Clearance Required

Salary Range - $95,000 to $135,000
