Overview

PSI is currently seeking a Test Engineer to support the Family of Counter Unmanned Systems (FoCUS) in the development and execution of tests for systems development. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with various development teams to improve the performance of CUAS solutions.

Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities
  • Develop test plans for developmental test (DT) and operational test (OT) level events.
  • Develop operating parameters so that the tests remain objective, observable, and measurable.
  • Coordinate required ranges, airspace, admin, and logistics to conduct tests (includes military base range control coordination).
  • Execute DT and OT events per test plans and coordination. Serve as OIC or RSO as appropriate.
  • Evaluate test results, write reports, develop in progress review briefs and decision briefs as related to testing.
  • Maintain project risk register and help to develop mitigating actions.
  • Maintain Integrated Master Schedule.
Minimum Requirements
  • Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
  • 10+ years’ experience within DoD including development and execution of live fire and laser exercises.
  • Ability to write succinct and cogent reports.
  • Experience developing decision support products at GO/FO level.
  • Familiarity with DoD Risk Management Framework.
  • Mastery in the use of MS Project.
Desired Qualifications
  • Five or more years’ experience in supporting DoD DT and OT events from either acquisitions or testing organizations.
  • Qualified Laser Safety Officer; Military Laser Safety Officer qualified (expired cert will be considered).
  • FAA 107 Certification
  • Familiarity with Army and Marine Corps regulations for range safety.
  • Experience using TAK products.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to work in a field environment in all weather.
