Full Job Description
North Point Technology is looking to hire a Test Engineer to support a geospatial intelligence software development program serving a national security mission. This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination. Working within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team, you will help ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing software by designing and executing comprehensive test strategies across rapid, iterative development cycles in a DevSecOps environment.

Responsibilities:

In this role you will lead the planning, design, development, and execution of test strategies spanning multiple Agile sprints, developing and maintaining both automated and manual test cases for new and existing capabilities. You will collaborate daily with software engineers, product managers, systems engineers, and Scrum Masters to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality is embedded into every release. Testing responsibilities span functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing, as well as validation of application performance, reliability, security, and usability. You will identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution, integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, analyze test results, communicate risks, and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives that enhance Agile team effectiveness.

Required Skills/Experience:
  • Agile software development environment support, including participation in Scrum ceremonies
  • Creation and execution of manual and automated test plans and test cases
  • Automated testing using tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks
  • API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured
  • CI/CD pipeline tooling including Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms
  • Defect tracking and management using Jira or equivalent tools

Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community software programs
  • Scripting in JavaScript or Python
  • Containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Performance testing using tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Cloud platform experience with AWS, Azure, or OpenShift
  • DevSecOps pipeline practices and automated quality assurance
  • Geospatial applications or GEOINT data

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree a plus
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with the ability to successfully pass a Polygraph examination
  • US citizenship required
  • Certifications such as ISTQB, CASTP, CAST, CSTE, Security+, or equivalent preferred
