BCT LLC is seeking a Test Engineer 3. The ideal candidate must possess an active TS/SCI with POLY. This position is located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. CI Poly must be less than five years old.Role Description:The candidate will be a dedicated tester with experience in both the Software and Hardware worlds. A tester in this role will enable other test teams and testing activities by designing testing postures/frameworks at a macro level and supporting work performed at the micro level. Members of this team will get a broad spectrum of the entire effort and help drive testing design/ improvements.
Qualification requirements include:
- Eight (8) years of experience
- Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited University in Math, Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Engineering Management, or a related field is required.
- If the degree is not in the STEM field, must have an additional 5 years of Testing for a total of 13 years.
- Five (5) additional years of TE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree; Professional Certification as SE or T&E level 3 and PM level 2, or equivalent experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience of at least five (5) years shall be within the focus areas needed by the program.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Comfortable with Linux/Unix command line interface and command execution.
- Experience designing and developing automated test frameworks from scratch.
Skill Sets:
- Provide overall leadership of the T&E task and serve as primary liaison to the government for supporting contract coordination and task execution
- Manage T&E resources and tasks; ensure quality assurance of test processes and products
- Communicate issues and solutions to the broader government and contract management structure as requested by Leadership
- Drive innovation and responsiveness to program changes and evolving T&E status to help manage program risk: develop alternative courses of action, work-arounds, and fallback positions with a recommended course of action for each risk, and monitor and re-evaluate risks at appropriate milestones
- Ensure the appropriate level of independence of the team from the solution provider to support government management of objectivity risk
- Familiarity with troubleshooting and performing system administration on Linux servers.
- Experience with Splunk, Grafana, Kabana, or other data visualization dashboard tools.
- Experience creating user stories and defining acceptance criteria.
- Recommend draft plans and reports from the Level 1 tasks for approval by the task leader
- Work directly with the Government sponsor to coordinate task implementation
- Maintain knowledge of current and evolving agency, national, and international standards applicable to the system development of interest
- Familiarity with the creation and maintenance of test documentation.
- Understanding of software configuration management practices and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins).
- Basic understanding of database concepts and query languages such as SQL or others.
- Ability to develop test cases through the analysis of system requirements.
- Scripting in languages such as Bash, Python, or similar.
- Basic understanding of software testing methodologies.
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Salary Range: $190,000 - $291,000
