- 8+ years of hands-on experience in all phases of testing life cycle – requirements gathering, designing, and testing complex enterprise applications, including manual/automation test development, defect management.
- Passion to build robust Test suites and out of box solutions for test optimization and risk-based testing for great application products and ability to support large scale distributed systems
- Hands-on experience on developing automated test strategies and frameworks for API Services test automation.
- Understanding of web service concepts including HTTP, SOAP, REST etc. and related technologies like JSON and XML.
- Expertise in Linux/Unix includes shell scripting, JBOSS, Spring Boot, and other basic server administration.
- Knowledge of source code versioning (prefer GitHUB), Harness, Jenkins, Ansible, CI/CD tools is a plus.
- Working knowledge of testing tools and frameworks like Selenium (Java or C#), RestAssured, Cucumber (BDD), Playwright, Postman, TestNG, Maven build tools, SoapUI, JIRA
- Knowledge on database testing (Postgres and Microsoft SQL Databases), middleware / backend testing, and SQL queries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated critical thinking.
- Engineering / bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems Management is preferred.
Impact You'll Make:
- Partner with internal business resources and technical teams to analyze requirements to deliver solutions to complex issues, ensure testability and automation feasibility, to provide feedback on design (functional and technical).
- Deep understanding in industry standard methodologies of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) and software development methodologies such as Agile, scrum.
- Participate in code reviews and testing initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional technology teams including dev-ops and infrastructure.
- Contribute to impact assessments from Feature enhancements on system level interactions, and existing automated test suites.
- Conduct Test Design, Test planning, Test automation development, and Test execution.
- Conduct Manual Testing, and uses strong Exploratory Testing to uncover weaknesses in test approaches.
- Create robust automated tests, focused on easy maintenance, reusability, long-term sustainability, and efficiency.
- Provide test consultation to Scrum team members to assist them in developing robust Unit Test suites.
- Responsible for ensuring quality of their work, team deliveries and department goals.
- Automation Development responsibilities including: doing code review / bug analysis, analyzing development and test impacts, writing test tools, and identifying automation opportunities.
- Contribute to improvements in functional testing coverage, design test framework, develop test suites, expand automated testing harness via CI/CD.
The expected pay range for this position is $89,000 - $123,000 annually. The payinformation provided for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of expectedcompensation for this job. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
