RELOCATION ASSISTANCE: No relocation assistance available CLEARANCE REQUIRED FOR START: Yes CLEARANCE TYPE: Secret TRAVEL: Yes, 10% of the Time **Description** Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Test Conductor / Principal Test Conductor** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our **Test and Evaluation** organization. This position will be located onsite in **Palmdale, CA**. **This role may be filled at the Base OR Principal levels based on the qualifications listed, below** The PDM Test Engineering Organization within Depot & Modification Center (D&MC) is seeking a Test Conductor to join our team in Palmdale. In this role, the selected candidate will assist with ground and flight test events, work with System Test Engineers (STEs) to execute test procedures, perform postproduction system operations, and track test data safely and effectively. The selected candidate will also assist with coordination of supporting organizations in executing and planning a test program. **Key Responsibilities**: - Plan, coordinate, and conduct article test operations as an approved test conductor, which includes test control room preparation, attending pre/post process briefs, coordination with scheduling, manufacturing, instrumentation, and leading the test team through test procedures as the link between ground support team, control room test engineers, Systems Safety and flight crew. - Provide support for post-test data processing and analysis as required to support test objectives. - Provide guidance to maintenance personnel for maintenance, repairs, and modifications to system under test. - Analyze and interpret test data; provide recommendations to Engineering and Leadership for alternate means of compliance as required; support development and execution of test objectives. - Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Utilize strong collaboration and teamwork to ensure effective training - Work independently while exercising good judgment, demonstrating flexibility and agility, prioritizing multiple tasks with competing deadlines, managing schedule conflicts, and providing excellent follow through. - Work well with an ever-changing team of aircraft technicians and engineers in a dynamic environment. We are looking for self-motivated, proactive, and goal-oriented people to help us grow our services and become even better at what we do. **Basic Qualifications (Base):** - Must have a High School diploma (or equivalent) AND 6 years of related professional/military experience OR an Associate of Science degree AND 4 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 2 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 0 years of related professional/military experience. - Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs - Applicant must be willing and able to work various shifts including 4/10 days, 4/10 nights, 3/10 day and 3/10 nights - Candidate must be willing and able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required **Basic Qualifications (Principal):** - Must have a High School diploma (or equivalent) AND 9 years of related professional/military experience OR an Associate of Science degree AND 7 years of related professional/military experience OR a Bachelor of Science degree AND 5 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree AND 3 years of related professional/military experience. - Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs - Applicant must be willing and able to work various shifts including 4/10 days, 4/10 nights, 3/10 day and 3/10 nights - Candidate must be willing and able to work extended hours, weekends, and holidays as required **Preferred Qualifications:** - BS/MS/PhD degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline - Experience that includes test planning, execution, and operations - Experience in an aircraft maintenance/operations environment - Active DoD Top Secret clearance - Active Special Program Access (SAP) - Previous experience with aircraft systems testing, B-2 experience preferred. - Experience reading and working to Air Force Technical Orders - Experience with aircraft data analysis, using OGP (On Board Test System Ground Processor) - Proficiency with the full suite of Microsoft Office Tools. - Documented experience working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) environment Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $125,200.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $155,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
