Full Job Description
Responsibilities

The Hybrid Architecture and Development for Experimental Systems (HADES) program is an exciting and cutting-edge initiative led by the U.S. Space Force, offering a unique opportunity to work on the forefront of space operations and technology. HADES focuses on the development, integration, and sustainment of prototype and operational satellite ground systems, satellite operations centers (SOCs), and critical support services. This program plays a vital role in supporting the Research and Development Space and Missile Operations (RDSMO) Ground System Enterprise (GSE) and is headquartered at the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Support Complex (RSC) at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

As the Lead Test & Integration Engineer, you’ll lead and oversee integration and testing activities across large, complex enterprise system-of-systems environments supporting the customer’s mission. You will lead the planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance of integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructures. This role operates with substantial latitude for independent judgment and provides technical direction, mentorship, and innovative solutions that help shape the program’s long-term integration strategy.

This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to be part of a team that is shaping the future of space operations. If you’re ready to take on challenging, meaningful work in a secure and scalable environment, we want to hear from you. Join us in pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in space technology and operations!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee integration and testing of large, complex enterprise system-of-systems and service-oriented architecture environments.
  • Lead planning, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance of integration solutions across cloud, on-premise, and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Set technical direction for integration efforts across the program and ensure the integrity of integrated systems and solutions.
  • Apply leading-edge principles and concepts to resolve unusually complex and ambiguous integration challenges.
  • Leverage Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering processes, tools, and methodologies to support integration activities.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout integration and testing activities, exercising substantial latitude and independent judgment in developing solutions.
  • Identify integration issues, dependencies, and technical challenges and drive solutions across complex system environments.
  • Mentor and supervise Senior, Mid-Level, and Junior integrators and engineers in technical and professional competencies.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation supporting integration and testing activities.
  • Present, communicate, and defend technical solutions and integration approaches to customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Provide innovative technical solutions that support the long-term technical direction of the program.
