Job Summary

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible forunderstanding and developing an assigned territory to maximize and grow revenueand profits to existing customers while acquiring new business. This rolefocuses on the sale of DATAMARS Livestock products and solutions includingadvanced animal ID solutions (e.g., RFID tags, readers, traceability systems,and data platforms), animal health delivery devices, precision livestock (smartfarming) platforms, scales, and electric fencing to producers, resellers, distributors,and influencers.

This individual will serve as a strategic salesprofessional, combining industry expertise with consultative selling to delivertailored solutions that enhance traceability, compliance, and operationalefficiency for beef and dairy customers across the livestock value chain.

Duties & Responsibilities

Create, execute, and achieve a territory sales plan thatmeets or exceeds established sales objectives and supports Company revenue andprofit targets to include sales to distributors, dealers, ranches, dairies, andfeedlots.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of DATAMAR's core productsand utilize this knowledge to successfully sell DATAMARS product solutions tonew and existing customers in assigned territory.
• Communicate with authority in sales, marketing, andfinancial terms; able to demonstrate how customers can increase profits byincreasing the warehousing, sales, and full line support of the DATAMARSproduct solutions
• Position self as an expert "special consultant" with newand existing customers; serves as liaison between DATAMARS headquarters andcustomers' senior leadership, fully and timely communicate customers' needs andgoals, product movement at the warehouse and retailer level, market trends, andcompetitive information.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with keystakeholders, including large enterprise customers and industryinfluencers. Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple decision-makersand long-term contracts.
• Communicate and meet regularly with existing customers andprospects in sales territory to understand their evolving business needs andposition product solutions to meet surfaced needs; facilitate meetings atclient facility whenever possible.
• Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficialrelationships with existing and new customers.
• Continuously expand customer understanding and use ofDATAMARS product solutions and capabilities. Support channel partners,distributors, and resellers to expand reach and improve sales effectiveness.
• Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up withcustomers and prospects and be available and responsive to customer's real-timeneeds.
• Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, andregulatory developments related to animal traceability and identificationrequirements.
• Work effectively with internal support departments(Marketing, Product Development) to promote sales for new and existingcustomers, and to maximize DATAMARS's visibility within the industry as well asprofessional and trade associations.
• Collaborate with Customer Service to ensure efficient andaccurate order processing.
• Attend promotional events, open houses, field days, grandopenings, sales meetings, conferences, tradeshows, and professional associationmeetings to promote DATAMARS's product solutions and brand.
• Utilize Company provided systems to document detailedbusiness activities and maintain customer contact information; data enteredaccording to specified guidelines. Provide accurate sales forecasting,pipeline management, and reporting using CRM tools.
• Complete weekly and monthly sales activity reports asassigned and presented according to established timelines.
• Maintain equipment in the field to ensure producer successthis includes Temple Tag Machines (TTM) and Pulse Needleless Injection systems.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and Experience

College Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3-5 years sales experience; experience in thelivestock or similar industry preferred.
• Experience selling at C-Suite level, VP or Director.
• Demonstrated sales track record, new sales track record& quota attainment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in new business development andlead qualification.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote position withminimal supervision.
• Computer functional in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,Salesforce, JIRA.
• Extensive travel within assigned territory (50% -75%); sometravel required outside territory.

Working Environment

This position is executed remotely with frequenttravel. Position will work from 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday;however, flexibility to work alternate days, including nights and weekends,according to business needs is required.

Physical Requirements

The position is regularly required to talk or hear. Theemployee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feelobjects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to stand;walk; sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally liftand/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by thisposition include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjustfocus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Frequent travel required, up to 75% of work time
