POSITION SUMMARY

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence across the state of Louisiana. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, managing the full sales cycle, and representing the company's products, values, and brand within the territory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Territory Manager is expected to:
  • Promote Landscape Structures' Culture and Values in all interactions within the assigned state: Innovation, Passion, Commitment, Integrity, Team, and Relationships
  • Maintain strong knowledge of competition, market trends, customer needs, and localized economic and demographic factors within the state
  • Use PowerBi, Play365, and other available tools to evaluate market conditions, identify customer segments, prioritize opportunities, and support a focused approach to strengthening the LSI brand and growing sales
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to drive growth across the state
  • Analyze sales metrics to support territory business planning and sales strategy development
  • Be responsible and accountable for achieving established revenue and profit goals for the state
  • Participate in strategic pricing discussions and apply Market Development Funds appropriately within established LSI guidelines
  • Collaborate with General Managers, Business Unit Leaders, and Sales and Design Leaders on project strategies and customer needs
  • Manage leads, pipeline activity, sales development, and closing efforts; understand win/loss reasons and communicate trends to LSI leadership
  • Support project progress by preparing and delivering sales presentations, negotiating and closing sales, and utilizing all available tools and resources
  • Maintain ongoing management of the project pipeline and sales forecast for the state
  • Represent LSI at state, regional, and national trade association meetings and shows to promote and differentiate LSI products
  • Demonstrate leadership through effective communication with customers, strategic partners, and internal LSI teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in sales or territory management, ideally in construction, architecture, parks & recreation, or related industries
  • Experience working with landscape architects, municipalities, schools, and contractors
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities with long sales cycles and multi-stakeholder projects
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while meeting revenue and activity expectations
  • Understanding of market trends, competitive landscape, and regional economic factors
  • Ability to travel throughout the assigned state for customer meetings, site visits, and trade shows
