Job Description

If you are a Territory Sales Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by driving growth across the RIDGID and Greenlee professional tools portfolio. As part of Emerson's North America sales team, you will partner closely with customers and distributors in the utility market, providing insights that help them advance their business while showcasing Emerson Professional Tools' differentiated solutions. This role is based in or near Houston, TX and reports to the Regional Sales Manager, Southwest Region.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Drive the direction, coordination, and growth of utility market sales through direct customer engagement and close collaboration with local ProTools Territory Managers.
  • Operate effectively in a matrix environment, providing guidance, coaching, and influence across regional sales partners.
  • Conduct field product demonstrations, training, and technical support with end users and distribution partners.
  • Lead the introduction and adoption of strategic new products and solutions to expand market presence and share
    Develop, present, and execute annual territory business plans to deliver sustainable sales growth.
  • Build, manage, and maintain accurate monthly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Establish and grow trusted relationships with key distributor partners and end users.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for products, applications, and pricing programs within the assigned territory.
  • Support regional and national initiatives through training and special project execution.
  • Build and maintain effective merchandising displays at key distributor locations.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience working with distribution channels, ideally within electrical, industrial, or plumbing markets.
  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, industrial distribution, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing territory business plans that drive incremental growth.
  • Experience conducting field product demonstrations, training, and technical problem solving with end users and distributors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to introduce new products and solutions to expand market share.
  • Experience developing and managing monthly and annual sales forecasts.
  • A consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a collaborative team.


Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Experience in B2B sales, marketing, or technical support within a professional tools or industrial environment.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools and proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
