If you are a Territory Sales Manager professional looking for an opportunity to grow your career, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you. In this role, you will join the Professional Tools North America sales team and be responsible for selling, promoting, and demonstrating the RIDGID® and Greenlee® lines of tools and equipment. The ideal candidate will reside in the Des Moines, Iowa area. You will help customers evaluate their business challenges and opportunities by providing valuable insights, aligning solutions with their priorities, and demonstrating the unique advantages of Emerson Professional Tools products. Success in this role requires strong business acumen, the ability to build trusted customer relationships, and a consultative approach that drives meaningful business results and sales growth.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Drive the direction, coordination, and growth of utility market sales through direct customer engagement and close collaboration with Professional Tools Territory Managers.
  • Work effectively in a matrix-managed environment, providing guidance and support to regional Territory Managers to drive business objectives.
    Conduct product demonstrations, customer training, and technical support activities for end users and distribution channel partners.
  • Drive strategic new product and solution sales initiatives that expand market opportunities and increase market share.
  • Develop, present, and execute annual business plans designed to achieve incremental sales growth and business objectives.
  • Develop and manage accurate monthly and annual sales forecasts while monitoring economic drivers, industry trends, and emerging opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key distributor partners and end users while serving as a subject matter expert for product applications, pricing programs, and market solutions and supporting regional and national training initiatives and special projects.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Experience working with distribution channels, with an emphasis on electrical, industrial, and plumbing markets.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Industrial Distribution, or another relevant discipline; or a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated success developing, presenting, executing, and measuring territory business plans that deliver incremental sales growth.
  • Proven success achieving sales goals through strategic selling, solution-based offerings, and new product commercialization.
    Experience conducting product demonstrations, customer training, technical troubleshooting, and application support for end users and distribution partners.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key distributor partners and end users while serving as a trusted product and application resource.
  • Experience developing and managing monthly and annual sales forecasts.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM applications is a plus.
  • Ability to work in office, customer, distributor, and manufacturing environments as needed and comply with all applicable safety requirements, including the use of required personal protective equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 pounds as needed to move and demonstrate products.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • Five (5) years of experience in sales, marketing, or technical support within a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with CRM applications is a plus.
