JOB STATEMENT: The Terminal Supervisor oversees daily warehouse and distribution operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of finished goods and related materials. This role provides leadership to warehouse staff, ensures compliance with company standards and safety protocols, and drives continuous improvement in productivity and quality. The Terminal Supervisor works closely with management and cross-functional departments to maintain operational excellence and support business objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Understand and ensures that warehouse staff complies with company/department policies, ISO 9001, HACCP, GMP and standard operating procedures.
  • Assists the Shift Manager with reviewing and updating standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Uses IFS, IWS, and associated computer programs for tracking and efficiencies.
  • Provides updates, briefings, feedback, and reports to the Shift Manager and Distribution Manager.
  • Possess a leadership role in managing the warehouse and personnel.
  • Supervises full-time, part-time and temporary employees.
  • Pulls daily schedules for receiving, picking and shipping.
  • Conducts pre-shift meetings, informing staff of daily tasks, goals, and issues.
  • Manages product locations and placements, maximizing available room and rows.
  • Ensures that inhouse labeling is efficient and accurate.
  • Inspects dock equipment, trailers, and boxcars for serviceability. (when needed)
  • Operates dock equipment.
  • Ensures the receiving and shipping of case goods accurately, documenting all transactions.
  • Directs the moves of received product from dock location to designated rows.
  • Secures over the road loads, using load-locks, and or airbags.
  • Opens and closes box car door.
  • Places and removes ramp for boxcar loading.
  • Secures boxcar loads with dunnage and airbags.
  • Ensures the proper identification and placement of tax paid, in-bound, and export products.
  • Conducts a daily inspection of equipment and facilities, reporting deficiencies.
  • Conducts a daily warehouse inspection, ensuring products are in good order, properly placed in prescribed recycling bins. Waste plastic and cardboard will be compacted.
  • Change/charge electric lift batters and propane refueling for gas lifts. Conducts a daily inspection of each warehouse, ensuring products are in good order, properly placed, and all areas are clean and presentable.
  • Conducts a daily facility and equipment inspection.
  • Ensures staff is completing pre-use inspections of lifts.
  • Conducts safety briefings and tailgates.
  • Monitors supplies, informing the Shift Manager of the need for reorders.
  • Selects logical placement of warehoused product and supplies.
  • Operates a counterbalanced lift, narrow aisle lift, and pallet truck.
  • Maintains a month product movement (received/warehoused/picked/shipped) accuracy rating of no less than 99.6%.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Shift Manager, Distribution Manager, Director, or Ownership.
  • Safely operate company vehicles (typically Class C box trucks, vans, or similar) for short distance runs.
  • Load, secure, and unload materials or goods as required for each delivery.
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and any required electronic records


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Three (3) years of warehouse/logistics experience.
  • One (1) year of leadership experience (lead or equivalent).
  • Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (commercial or delivery experience preferred).


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Read and write in English.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Work with minimum supervision.
  • Vintages, varietals, alcohol percentages, bottle/can/box/keg sizes, and types.
  • Trailer/Box carload configurations.
  • Product flow.
  • Certified (IVES) to operate counterbalanced lifts, narrow aisle lifts, and pallet trucks.
  • Ability to learn operating systems to include IFS, IWS and Novacura.
  • Battery charging/changing and propane refueling.
  • Work at any Bronco affiliated warehouse(s) when needed.
  • Work any shift when needed.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking and sitting.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Warehouse and docks.
  • Moving and stationary equipment and machines.
  • Tractor trailer and bobtail traffic.
  • High noise area.
  • Pedestrian traffic.
  • Class C box trucks


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
  • Side shield safety glasses.
  • Safety vest.
  • Slip resistant footwear.
