The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Patrick Force Base, FL is searching for an Information System Security Manager to support SLD 45/SC (NH-2210-03, GS12/13 Equivalent).
Description: Manages the TEMPEST program for the Space Launch Delta 45 and mission partners. Develops procedures and enforces directives governing communication and computer systems. Designs and recommend solutions to resolve complex issues arising from unusual mission requirements. Ensures appropriate countermeasures are in place to deny classified information captured in radiated signals at the least possible cost. Perform initial assessments of new computer and telecommunications equipment and facilities to identify the level of control(s) required. Accomplishes reassessments of existing systems as required or upon any change of equipment or operating environment. Coordinates with the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) for clarification of requirements and final approval. Develops and delivers periodic TEMPEST training to units/organizations supported.
Ideal Candidate:Has existing Security + Certification, in-residence TEMPEST training, and two years' experience highly preferred. Incumbents must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Clearance. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise. This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions present a clear threat to the mission of the Space Force, national security, and public safety. It is required that you (a) refrain from the use of illegal drugs and (b) if requested, submit to urinalysis testing. May be required to travel (CONUS and OCONUS) by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: - Expert knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and computer security principles associated with COMPUSEC, TEMPEST, accreditation standards, and COMSEC.
- Expert knowledge of NSA Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) program and skills with electronic cryptographic key management tools.
- Expert knowledge of the Assess and Authorize (A&A) Risk Management Framework (RMF) process. Skills in the tools and technology used to automate the A&A process (i.e. eMASS).
- Knowledge of a wide range of computer-communication concepts, principles, and practices to independently review, analyze, and resolve difficult and complex hardware and software security issues.

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top - Secret/CS Security Clearance. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information with regulations to reduce potential compromise.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- PCS / Relocation funding is not authorized.
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- Subject to TDY 15 days per year.
- Will attain appropriate DoD approved cybersecurity baseline certification applicable for cybersecurity functions required for the position held.
- This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment.
- Employee must achieve the required DoDI 8140 Certification within nine (9) months of entry on duty. Incumbent must maintain continuing education IAW applicable certification level.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
