Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Understand Telematics system specifications, functional requirements, and overall system architecture.
  • Execute Telematics function validation plans, including bench and in-vehicle testing.
  • Review and interpret HU (Head Unit) system and subsystem specifications to ensure feature alignment.
  • Collaborate with HQ to clarify new and existing Telematics feature requirements.
  • Work closely with internal core development teams to support system integration and performance improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with software design and validation teams to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.
  • Prepare technical evaluations and proposals for engineering change requests.
  • Understand Test and Design definitions and ensure alignment with program requirements.
  • Create system test plans based on specifications, standards, and program milestones.
  • Analyze test results using various logs and diagnostic tools to identify issues and root causes.
  • Develop clear, concise test reports summarizing findings, defects, and recommendations.
  • Modify and update system test plans as specifications evolve.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and other departments to support program success.
  • Demonstrate strong motivation for testing complex functionality and identifying issues early in the development cycle.
  • Apply strong problem-solving skills to support timely issue resolution and continuous improvements.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in Telematics, system validation, or related automotive testing.
  • Experience with CAN, TCP/IP, ADB, and related diagnostic tools.
  • Experience supporting OEM vehicle development projects from early development through production.
  • Strong understanding of software and hardware interactions within automotive systems.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Korean language skills are a plus.
  • Experience collaborating with global teams and navigating multicultural communication is highly valued.
  • Position may require occasional domestic and international travel to support testing, collaboration, and project alignment.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Position requires occasional or frequent moderate physical activity, including in-vehicle testing and equipment handling.


EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
  • A typical work week is 40 hours per week.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment, engineering lab, and vehicle testing settings.
  • The role does not typically expose the employee to hazardous or unpleasant elements.

TRAVEL
  • Occasional international travel.
