Full Job Description
We are seeking a Technology Solutions Engineer to join our team as a member of our growing Southeast Facility Operations division located in Tampa, FL.McKinstry has a unique perspective on the life of a building, andourTechnical Services suite of owner-direct offeringsassists clients in making the best decisions to improve the efficiency, comfort, sustainability, and lifespan of their building.

The Technical Services team provides technical and strategic consulting services to make every building we touch more efficient. Our highly diverse group touches buildings of all kinds, from schools to hospitals to downtown high rises, with the intent to drive efficiency and optimization in every aspect of operations.

As a Technology Solutions Engineer, you will provide troubleshooting support for BAS performance issues. You will also provide technical support and oversight of BAS contractors and client technicians for BAS-related workflow. Another important task will be to leverage your knowledge of BAS networks to ensure that remodeled systems are optimized to maximize data throughput. Ensuring stable architectures to support the demanding needs of healthcare, critical facilities, higher education and K-12.

What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry:
  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent work experience in the built environment
  • 5-7+ years of BAS/controls experience, especially programming, integration, and energy management
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS User
  • Capability to process fast paced triage of incoming client work orders
  • Excellent controls project management and people skills
  • Understanding of building efficiency and basic design principles and standards
  • Familiarity with IT troubleshooting in support of BAS networks
  • Certification or experience in Metasys, Alerton, AX, N4, Niagara, Distech, and BACnet strongly preferred

The pay range for this position is $76,320 - $116,090 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
