The IT New Builds Team is responsible for installing, repairing and replacing all the technology that supports our offices in the Bay Area, including our corporate network, physical security systems, and audio/visual systems (video conferencing and event spaces). A Technology Project Engineer will perform or oversee vendors performing installations, configuration, repair and maintenance of IT/AV/PHY SEC hardware and will also provide support for specialized projects, infrastructure upgrades. In some cases, provides Project Management of physical security systems, audio/visual and network equipment installations, and upgrades. They partner with our REWFS, IT, Audio Visual and Physical Security teams to repair or replace all technology related hardware of our new office builds, upgrades and retrofits to our existing offices. They also assist with assembling prototypes, testing, and troubleshooting, working on-site to resolve issues while ensuring project timelines are met.
Responsibilities:
• Provides assistance with the deployment of technology as part of new office build out and renovations in partnership with our REWFS, IT, AV, and Physical Security teams.
• Ensure effective, timely, and consistent communication during all projects.
• Follow CZI standards for networks, access control, CCTV, video conferencing, and other technical systems which are a part of our facilities.
• Oversee the setup, configuration, and upgrade new and existing printers, workstations, meeting room AV, physical security and network peripherals, and equipment by vendors.
• Assist in testing new technology, prototypes, or hardware updates, often documenting results.
• Coordinate project timelines, vendor deliverables, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget completion
• Conduct site surveys, develop scopes of work, and create system documentation (as-builts, rack elevations, network diagrams). Resolve and document hardware, physical security, networking, and A/V issues.
• Maintain records of equipment inventory, track project progress, and report on hardware system performance or issues.
• Perform physical installations of hardware, such as installing or replacing monitors, audio visual meeting room equipment, physical security hardware, cabling, running cables, or setting up equipment in various desktop environments. At our locations in the bay area.
Qualifications:
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training/certification in networking, audio visual, physical security. CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or CTS-I certification. CompTIA Network+, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Experience managing small-to-midsize AV/IT integration projects end-to-endWorking knowledge of at least one of the following - IT Infrastructure (MDF cabling, hardware, etc.) networks, physical security systems, video conferencing, and/or audio-visual hardware.
• Some experience with AV control systems and DSPs (Crestron, Extron, Biamp, QSC, or similar)
• Skilled multi-tasker with ability to manage numerous tasks concurrently.
• Demonstrated willingness to get your hands dirty and do whatever it takes to achieve the team's end goals. With some previous construction experience.
• Proficiency with networking infrastructure fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, end-users, along with attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Compensation
Estimated Pay Range: 88,000-145,000 USD per year
Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
