DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Technology Director, Finance, S2P, located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Job Overview

The Technology Director, Finance, S2P will serve as a senior IT leader responsible for shaping and delivering technology solutions that enable end-to-end procurement, accounts payable, and payment processes. This role drives strategy, innovation, and execution across Source to Pay systems, partnering closely with Finance, Procurement, and business leaders to improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience. This is an exciting opportunity to influence enterprise-wide transformation, leverage modern technologies, and directly impact operational performance in a global MedTech organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead the IT strategy and roadmap for Finance Source to Pay capabilities, aligning with enterprise goals and business priorities
• Partner with Finance and Procurement leaders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and digital transformation
• Oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of Source to Pay technology solutions, including procurement, invoicing, and payment systems
• Lead large, complex, cross-functional technology initiatives from concept through delivery, ensuring alignment with business requirements
• Provide subject matter expertise on Source to Pay processes and technology capabilities, advising senior leadership on strategic decisions
• Ensure systems meet regulatory, compliance, and internal control requirements across financial operations
• Drive adoption of best practices, standards, and governance across applications, platforms, and integrations
• Manage and develop high-performing teams, including matrix leadership, mentoring, and capability building
• Collaborate across IT functions to ensure seamless integration of Source to Pay systems within the broader enterprise architecture
• Champion a culture aligned with Johnson & Johnson's Credo, focused on customer, patient, and employee needs

Qualifications

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field required
• MBA or advanced degree preferred

Experience and Skills:

Required:
• 10-12 years of experience leading enterprise IT solutions in Finance and Source to Pay domains
• Strong knowledge of procurement, accounts payable, invoicing, and payment processes
• Demonstrated experience leading large, complex technology programs and cross-functional initiatives
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and translating business strategy into technology solutions
• Strong leadership capabilities, including team development, mentoring, and matrix leadership
• Ability to ensure compliance with financial, regulatory, and internal control requirements
• Generally requires 10+ years of relevant work experience aligned to Director-level roles

Preferred: • Experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP) and Source to Pay technologies (e.g., Ariba, Coupa)
• Background in global organizations or shared services environments
• Experience with digital transformation initiatives, automation, or AI-enabled finance processes
• Knowledge of data integration, analytics, and reporting for financial operations
• Experience working within MedTech, healthcare, or regulated industries
• Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Familiarity with Agile or modern software delivery methodologies

• Travel: Up to 20% (domestic and/or international)
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, PMP, or ITIL) preferred

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
