Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Key Accounts and Technology, the Technology Account Manager is responsible for the management of assigned regional accounts, including developing, and growing long-term relationships and sales opportunities for our company's Animal Health Technology products and services. The Technology Account Manager will work collaboratively with the commercial organization (Sales, Marketing, Veterinary Services, Technology Solutions Support, etc.), establish regular contact and deepen relationships with the decision makers and key end-user/producer influencers, implement short and long-term plans to enhance our image as a trustworthy business partner, while maximizing our sales and market share with these accounts.

Candidate should reside in the province of Alberta

Specific responsibilities of the Technology Account Manager include:

Within assigned territory:
  • In close collaboration with the Director of Key Accounts and Technology, the Technology Account Manager must ensure that they are equipped with the strategic orientation necessary to maximize growth opportunities within their assigned territory.
  • Coordinate and execute tasks specific to the assigned dealer accounts and producers, including sponsorships, conferences, and promotional activities, while cultivating a deep understanding of customer needs in alignment with the established customer success journey.
  • Identify and execute opportunities that help bring further synergies to our customers through the involvement of our Biopharmaceutical team where appropriate.
  • Regularly analyze assigned accounts, to build insights that can impact growth potential and dealer performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
  • Completes all tasks in a manner fully consistent with our company's commitment to its Code of Conduct, Our Values and Standards, policies, procedures, industry standards and all laws and regulations.


Qualifications:

Education Minimum Requirement:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, Sales and/or Business Management or other related degree.

Required Experience and Skills:
  • Solid experience in marketing and/or sales of animal health products or equivalent experience in key accounts - training, strategy development and execution in alternate, relevant industries
  • Experience in the Farm Animal business and knowledge of Alberta's feedlot, cow-calf and dairy sectors is an asset
  • Highly effective negotiation and commercial skills to identify and close sales opportunities, focused on complex, large scale negotiations
  • Transformational leadership skills - willingness to challenge the status quo, innovate and implement positive change
  • Proven success in account management; ability to build and develop networks and customer relationships, including ability to influence at all levels
  • Engaging and motivating leadership style to influence & collaborate with cross-functional teams and all business units including Marketing, Sales, Technical Support, Regulatory, Legal
  • Must have the ability to analyze business metrics and use Microsoft excel and Word
  • Strategic and innovative marketing and business development skills
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with Key Account staff and stakeholders.

  • Déterminer et mettre en œuvre des occasions permettant d'apporter davantage de synergies à nos clients grâce à la participation de notre équipe biopharmaceutique lorsque cela est approprié.
  • Analyser régulièrement les comptes attribués afin de générer des perspectives pouvant influencer le potentiel de croissance et la performance des concessionnaires, tout en favorisant une culture d'amélioration continue et de croissance.

Qualifications :

Exigence minimale en matière de formation
  • Baccalauréat en marketing, en ventes, en gestion des affaires (administration des affaires) ou dans un domaine connexe.


Expérience et compétences requises:
  • Expérience solide en marketing et/ou en vente de produits de santé animale, ou expérience équivalente en gestion de comptes clés, incluant la formation, l'élaboration de stratégies et leur mise en œuvre dans des secteurs pertinents.
  • Une expérience dans le secteur des animaux de ferme ainsi qu'une connaissance des secteurs des parcs d'engraissement, vache-veau et laitier de l'Alberta constituent un atout.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en négociation et solides compétences commerciales permettant de cerner et de conclure des occasions de vente, particulièrement dans le cadre de négociations complexes et de grande envergure.
