YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:Reporting to the Leader, Drill and Blast, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will perform good engineering practices in terms of drill and blast design as well as end of period reporting. Your role also includes QA/QC compliance for all processes linked to the drilling and blasting operation and the general drill and blast procedures. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
- Generate precise production longhole drilling and blasting layouts;
- Conduct underground QA/QC inspections of stope production drilling & blasting activities, checking for hole alignment, depth, and proper loading compliance;
- Keep track of all the drilling and blasting performances through data reporting and databases;
- Assist the Planners for short and mid-term planning of drill & blast activities;
- Evaluate in-situ performance and adjust Drill & Blast parameters accordingly;
- In collaboration with the Geology and Ground Control teams, perform stope dilution analysis and reconcile actual shapes against planned designs;
- Provide mine operations with different data & analysis that can help increase productivity and reduce costs;
- Investigate drilling deviations or blast misfires and collaborate with the Mine Operations department to implement corrective actions.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED- College's degree in Mine Engineering or similar field of expertise;
- 3-4 years of experience within the underground mining industry;
- 1 year experience as a drill and blast technician;
- Strong working knowledge of Deswik software and the Microsoft Office Suite;
- Practical understanding of underground QA/QC practices, including borehole surveying, cavity monitoring system (CMS) data evaluation, and overbreak analysis;
- Clear, respectful communicator across crews, supervisors, and technical teams;
- Proven capability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to diverse team dynamics;
- Strong safety habits and situational awareness;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.

Your Work Schedule:- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
- Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
