What you'll do...
Role summary:
The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on food equipment and facility fixtures to ensure operational efficiency and safety. This role requires diagnosing issues, executing repairs using multiple craft skills, managing maintenance schedules, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician supports business continuity by responding promptly to emergencies, maintaining equipment and vehicles, and documenting all activities accurately. This position demands a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement within a dynamic work environment.
What you'll do:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment, facilities, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
  • Inspect, clean, and test equipment to diagnose issues and determine replacement needs to minimize future repairs.
  • Utilize multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry to complete major and minor repairs.
  • Operate heavy machinery and powered equipment safely, conducting pre- and post-operation inspections.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts ordering, and documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations to support critical business needs.
  • Collaborate with contractors to ensure quality standards and safety requirements are met.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience performing preventive maintenance and repairs on food equipment and facility systems using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Ability to diagnose equipment issues through inspection, testing, and use of technical manuals and blueprints.
  • Skilled in operating and maintaining heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and documentation accurately.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with a commitment to safety and quality standards.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with contractors and internal partners.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to urgent maintenance needs.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The hourly wage range for this position is $26.00 - $51.00*

*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.








Minimum Qualifications...

Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
