Description

At Nüvitek, we are looking for a Technical Writer to develop clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical documentation and instructional materials supporting our federal government clients. You will work closely with technical and program teams to translate complex information into well-organized reports, manuals, procedures, presentations, and visual content. The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of technical writing experience, experience supporting the Federal Government, such as DoD or DLA, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.

What you will do
  • Develop, write, edit, and format technical documentation, including reports, manuals, articles, procedures, and instructional materials.
  • Create and incorporate graphics, charts, tables, diagrams, and other visual elements into technical and instructional content.
  • Translate complex technical and program information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate documentation.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, subject matter experts, and program leadership to gather information and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Review and edit existing documentation for grammar, clarity, consistency, accuracy, and formatting.
  • Develop presentations, briefings, and supporting materials for internal and government audiences.
  • Maintain document templates, version control, and organized documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage multiple documentation assignments while meeting established deadlines and deliverable requirements.
  • Ensure technical documentation follows applicable government, program, and organizational standards.


What you will bring
  • 3+ years of relevant technical writing or documentation experience.
  • Federal Government experience required; DoD or DLA experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience developing technical reports, manuals, procedures, instructional materials, or similar documentation.
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a government contracting environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Eligible for a Public Trust Clearance or obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
  • Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) programs.
  • Experience developing documentation for federal contracts, technical programs, or government deliverables.
  • Experience creating process flows, diagrams, infographics, or other visual aids.
  • Familiarity with federal documentation standards and quality control processes.
  • Experience working directly with government customers or program stakeholders.
