Job Responsibilities:

  • Create, edit, and maintain a wide variety of technical documentation, including user guides, reference materials, manuals, installation guides, configuration documentation, how-to guides, cheat sheets, and instructional content.
  • Translate complex scientific and technical concepts into clear, concise documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to transform functional requirements into detailed technical specifications.
  • Support engineering teams by developing and maintaining documentation for hardware, software, system components, engineering artifacts, and technical deliverables.
  • Prepare, review, revise, and maintain software engineering, systems engineering, system operations, testing, and end-user documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Apply strong writing, editing, and grammar skills to deliver high-quality documentation while meeting project deadlines.
  • Apply knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Intelligence Community Information Technology Enterprise (IC ITE), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and program terminology throughout documentation efforts.
  • Contribute to documentation initiatives involving multiple stakeholders while supporting continuous improvement across program documentation processes.

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a technical writing or lead technical writing role.
  • Demonstrated ability to distill complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and grammar skills with the ability to work independently and deliver accurate documentation under tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience designing and developing developer-oriented documentation while collaborating directly with software development teams.
  • Experience using documentation tools to develop templates and produce documentation in multiple output formats.
  • Thorough understanding of software development concepts, the Risk Management Framework (RMF), and related program terminology.

Desired Skills:
