JOB STATUS: OPEN EFFECTIVE: 2026-27 POSTING DATE: 08/20/2026 CLOSING DATE: 08/27/2026 04:30 PM POSTING NUMBER: 00060117 SCHOOL/DEPARTMENT: Information & Instructional Technology LOCATION: Prince William County,VA POSITION TITLE: TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST - 250 DAY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS: An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site. 7.5 hours/day JOB SUMMARY: This position involves working in the installation, configuration, operation, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and security management of technology resources within the School Division. This position provides support to users in the use of software and technology hardware and is performed under the general supervision of the Supervisors of Workstation Support. To perform this job successfully, it is necessary to collaborate on an ongoing basis with the school based Instructional Technology Coach (ITC). Job Description SALARY: Hiring Range: $38.61 - $61.82/hour ($72,387 - $115,911/year) DAYS: 250 FULL TIME/PART TIME: Full Time
