Job Description

As a Technical Support Engineer here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for supporting technical services related to the application of our refrigerant offerings for chiller applications. You will handle all technical inquiries from end users, OEM's, contractors, environmental entities and others. You will interact with our sales, marketing and R&D teams to support this vertical.

In this role, you will support the application of our refrigerant offerings in all chiller design configurations, centrifugal and positive displacement across all applications. You will assist sales with both field support and customer calls. You will support marketing efforts with your excellent practical experience.

You will report directly to our global technical services director, and you will work out of our Buffalo, NY or Morris Plains, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take technical inquiries from various inputs and provide accurate technical responses. Maintain a database to accurately log the nature and source of inquiries. Convert technical inquiries into sales leads where applicable
  • Own every aspect of the required support in this segment. This includes understanding field requirements, refrigerant options, and retrofit procedures for various manufacturers offerings
  • Handle SFDC inquiries and phone calls
  • Back up aftermarket sales
  • Handle quality complaints
  • Present Solstice options to industry trade shows
  • Support retrofits
  • Support field trials
  • Perform site surveys, compose reports, and testimonials
  • Support technical literature creation
  • Support new product introductions
  • Provide assistance to R&D and relay field practices
  • Own cylinder fleet information and maintain customer facing cylinder manuals

COMPENSATION

The annual base salary for this position is $130,514-$163,437. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Solstice considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
