Summary

REC Silicon is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Technical Sales Account Manager to support the growth of our semiconductor materials business. This role is responsible for managing customer relationships, driving revenue growth, developing new business opportunities, and serving as a key commercial interface between customers and internal teams.

The successful candidate will support REC Silicon's existing portfolio of silicon-based specialty gases while contributing to future growth initiatives involving advanced semiconductor materials, including wet cleaning chemistries, CVD precursors, and other next-generation process materials currently under development.

This position is ideal for an early- to mid-career professional with semiconductor industry experience who enjoys working directly with customers, solving technical and commercial challenges, and building long-term strategic relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day commercial and business relationships with assigned semiconductor customers and strategic accounts.
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer manufacturing processes, technology roadmaps, material requirements, and business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary interface between customers and cross-functional teams including Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, R&D, Product Management, and Customer Service.
  • Drive revenue growth through account development, customer retention, and identification of new business opportunities.
  • Support customer qualification programs, technical evaluations, and commercialization activities for existing and future product offerings.
  • Coordinate customer projects and requests to ensure timely execution and resolution of commercial and technical issues.
  • Prepare quotations, support contract negotiations, manage customer forecasts, and participate in pricing and commercial planning activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, opportunity pipelines, account plans, and customer records within CRM systems.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations, business reviews, and strategic account updates.
  • Support business development activities related to REC Silicon's expanding semiconductor materials portfolio.
  • Represent REC Silicon at customer meetings, industry conferences, and other business development events.

Qualifications

Incumbents must have demonstrated knowledge and abilities in these areas. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience within the semiconductor industry, electronic materials, specialty chemicals, industrial gases, semiconductor equipment, or related technology sectors.
  • Experience with electronic materials such as Silicon (Si) specialty gases, precursors, or wet chemicals, along with familiarity with semiconductor fabrication processes, is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in technical sales, account management, applications engineering, sales engineering, product management, business development, or other customer-facing roles preferred.
  • Experience working directly with semiconductor manufacturers, equipment suppliers, materials companies, or technology partners is preferred.
  • Experience supporting new product introductions, qualification activities, or technology commercialization efforts is a plus.

Location

  • Full-Time Remote (United States)
  • Location is flexible; candidates residing near major semiconductor industry hubs are preferred but not required.


Work Environments
This is a full-time remote position requiring regular interaction with customers, manufacturing sites, technology partners, and internal business functions.

The role requires frequent domestic and international travel, with approximately 40% to 60% travel expected to support customer engagement, qualification activities, business reviews, and industry events.

Regular travel is anticipated. In addition, this role will require frequent travel to REC Silicon's manufacturing site in Butte, Montana, for internal meetings, customer project support, product reviews, cross-functional collaboration, training, and business planning activities.

Physical Demands

This position requires frequent travel by air and automobile, participation in customer meetings and presentations, extended computer use, and occasional visits to manufacturing and industrial facilities.
