$81,900.00-$112,600.00 Annual This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire.   Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.  Technical Roofing Specialist (Guarantee & Systems) Johns Manville – Roofing Systems Division About the Role Johns Manville is seeking a Technical Roofing Specialist to ensure our customers receive exceptional support across all technical and guarantee-related matters. This role plays a critical part in evaluating complex roofing systems, advising on best-fit solutions, and ensuring compliance with JM specifications and standards. What You’ll Do Customer Support & Technical Expertise • Serve as a trusted expert by responding to technical and guarantee inquiries accurately and promptly • Partner with customers to evaluate roofing conditions and identify practical, effective solutions System Evaluation & Recommendations • Assess unique roofing situations and recommend best practices, including deviations from standard specifications where appropriate • Review construction documents with a focus on roofing systems and compliance Guarantee Review & Eligibility • Evaluate guarantee applications and determine eligibility based on JM standards • Ensure roofing systems meet applicable requirements before approval Engineering & Analysis • Perform wind uplift design calculations (ASCE 7) to support system validation • Apply technical expertise across Single Ply and Bituminous roofing systems and components What You Bring Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field • 5+ years of experience in a technical roofing or construction role • 5+ years of experience working in a customer-facing environment • Registered Roof Observer (RRO) or Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) preferred Technical Knowledge • Strong understanding of low-slope roofing systems, materials, and industry practices • Knowledge of commercial construction processes and stakeholder roles • Familiarity with legal and compliance considerations in construction and roofing Skills & Capabilities • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences • Strong negotiation and presentation skills #LI-SF #LI-HYBRID Please Keep in Mind If you do not meet 100% of these requirements, we at JM still want to hear from you.
