Job Description:

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS SYSTEMS ENGINEER

• Lead/Manage/Support Product Owner and stakeholders to perform workflow/business process engineering, functional requirements gathering, and technical requirements definition
• Collaborate with Task Lead, Scrum Master, System Engineers, and Developers to facilitate sprint execution, functional testing, and sprint reviews/demos
• Drive the delivery of high-quality solutions
• Utilize Agile software development methodologies and collaboration tools

• Education: Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 10+ years of related experience
• Technical skills:

Required skills and experience include:
  • Familiarity with software development using Java or JavaScript frameworks, RESTful microservices, and Cloud-based architecture and deployment (Amazon Web Services)
  • Proven experience in working collaboratively to elicit and document functional and technical requirements
  • Acting as an expert liaison between customers and the development team, to include managing customer expectations
  • Comprehending and articulating intricate technical details to various audiences
  • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence


Desired experience includes:
  • Coordinating the design and development of AI-driven solutions from conception to deployment, ensuring seamless integration with the existing software architecture
  • Serving as a key technical liaison, collaborating with cross-functional teams, including system engineers, software developers, and domain experts
  • Effectively present and articulate recommended AI approaches, discussing the tradeoffs and implications of different implementations with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Staying current with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, continuously seeking opportunities to apply new technologies and methodologies to improve existing systems and solve complex problems

• Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Poly
• US citizenship required
• Telework Opportunity: Up to 1 day per week of telework as project tasking allows

The likely salary range for this position is $162,037 - $219,227. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
