Position Summary:We are seeking an experienced
Technical Project Manager to join our R&D team, reporting directly to the Electronics R&D Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling hardware and software activities, ensuring that shared resources are coordinated effectively based on project schedules and priorities.
You will be a key contributor throughout the entire product lifecycle, overseeing projects from initiation to completion, managing resources, scope, budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.
Responsibilities/Accountability:- Facilitate the documentation of technical and functional product requirements.
- Maintain a record of all project documentation.
- Clearly define project scope, deliverables, tasks, and responsibilities.
- Estimate and manage project budgets and timelines.
- Identify internal and external resource requirements and responsibilities.
- Coordinate activities of shared internal resources based on project schedules and priorities.
- Monitor and control projects from start to completion, including the approval of milestones and gate reviews.
- Communicate project status with weekly project status reports.
- Conduct team project status meetings as necessary.
- Travel to meet with external vendors as necessary.
- Act as the primary Paradigm contact with external vendors for all technical matters.
- Manage and communicate project/product scope changes to all project stakeholders.
- Monitor ECN changes after product release to production. Provide ongoing technical support as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned, which may include hardware design, firmware design, or other project management duties.
Knowledge and Experience:- Ideally 10+ years of experience in project planning, project implementation, and product development.
- Strong working knowledge of electronic hardware design and firmware design.
- Ability to execute multiple projects in parallel.
- Proven leadership qualities and the desire to take ownership and be accountable.
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- An orientation to detail, accuracy of information, and a high value on quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice to Have:- Certification in Project Management (PMP).
- A degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Knowledge of audio electronics hardware.
- Familiarity with audio test methods and performance specifications.
- Experience with audio/video test equipment (e.g., Audio Precision).
- Experience working with external vendors, especially overseas.
- Knowledge of firmware and app development processes and tools.
