Full Job Description
Technical Project Manager to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. The Technical Project Manager will drive the strategy, design, and execution of our core platform architecture and developer tools. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, working side-by-side with software engineers, architects, and security teams to build scalable, high-performance systems that power customer-facing applications.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Define feature priorities, strategy, vision, roadmaps, and success metrics for back-end platforms and infrastructure.
  • Translate complex business objectives and high-level goals into precise, actionable technical specifications, API designs, and user stories.
  • Act as the primary communication bridge aligning software engineers, QA, executive leadership, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Own, prioritize, and groom the technical backlog to balance new feature delivery with technical debt.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to evaluate system architecture, scale constraints, performance, and technology trade-offs.
  • Anticipate technical constraints, assess system scalability, and manage security or performance trade-offs.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Project Manager, Product Manager, or Software Engineer
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), API design, and system
  • Experience managing technical products using Agile, Scrum, or Kanban methodologies
  • architecture.
  • Understanding of APIs, system design, data flows, and proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools to drive decisions
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Experience with microservices architecture, CI/CD pipelines, or data engineering frameworks
  • Strong strategic prioritization skills balancing delivery speed, budget limits, technical debt, and customer value


Clearance Requirements:
  • Active/current TS/SCI with polygraph clearance is required

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.


The projected compensation range for this position is $165,900.00-$295,300.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
