In this position...

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Project Manager to join our Information Security team within our financial organization. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic security objectives, lead modernization efforts, and work with a dynamic global team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the financial and information security domains, with a passion for advancing organizational security and compliance.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Serve as JIRA Administrator for three teams: maintain user management, drive data integrity, and ensure consistency across the portfolio.
  • Generate JIRA and Confluence dashboards and required views to support reporting and status updates.
  • Lead agile ceremonies for three teams, coach and reinforce agile behaviors in teams to build and retain agile mindsets
  • Manage and Lead multiple security projects, ensuring alignment with team objectives and the organization's strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, legal, Internal Controls, business teams, and external partners to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to senior management and stakeholders to ensure transparency.
  • Prepare leadership presentations and reports
  • Measure and report on project effectiveness using key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and other relevant metrics.
  • Prepare, participate in, and facilitate senior leadership Security Ops Control review meetings; create articles to communicate statuses and celebrate successes.
  • Define, analyze, and provision key performance metrics in response to leadership requests.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, implementing process enhancements to improve project efficiency and outcomes.


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on information security, cybersecurity, or IT projects within the financial sector.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a technical and compliance-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (specifically JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint).
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to create and manage detailed project plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, IT General Controls (ITGC), standards, and best practices.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), or similar certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs)

  • Hands-on experience with security tools, technologies, or platforms.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence at all organizational levels.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and emerging threats in the cybersecurity and financial compliance landscape.
  • Having an understanding of IT audits, and processes
  • Financial and Banking industry experience is a plus

This position is a banded salary grade 7 and 8 and it ranges from $86,600-$166,200.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
