WHAT YOU WILL DO:

We are looking for a highly experienced Data Center Technical Project Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing data center infrastructure projects and managed services activities. This role serves as the primary liaison between internal technical teams, client project managers, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of services, projects, and operational initiatives. The position requires strong organizational, reporting, resource management, and communication skills, along with expertise in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project & Site Activity Management
Track and manage all site activities across multiple data center locations.
• Maintain project schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays or issues.
• Coordinate implementation activities, maintenance windows, and service delivery initiatives.Resource & Headcount Management• Track project level of effort (LOE) for all assigned projects and service initiatives.
• Monitor resource allocation and utilization across multiple workstreams.
• Maintain headcount tracking and forecasting for operational and project requirements.
• Assist management with workforce planning and staffing recommendations.
Risk & Issue Management• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, challenges, and dependencies.
• Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize project impacts.
• Escalate critical risks and operational concerns to leadership as required.
• Maintain risk and issue logs throughout the project lifecycle.Reporting & Documentation• Produce and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports.
• Develop executive dashboards and KPI reports for leadership and clients.
• Track project financials, resource utilization, milestones, and service performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.Client & Stakeholder Management• Work collaboratively with client project managers, client technical staff, and internal teams.
• Facilitate project meetings, status reviews, and operational discussions.
• Provide clear communication regarding project progress, risks, and deliverables.
• Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to ensure high levels of satisfaction.Operational Support• Support managed services operations and service delivery activities.
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, and support teams.
• Assist with change management, incident reviews, and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with customer requirements and organizational standards.Required Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in technical project management, data center operations, managed services, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and operational activities.
• Strong understanding of data center environments, IT infrastructure, and service delivery models.
• Proven experience managing project schedules, resources, risks, and reporting.Required Skills & Competencies• Excellent project management and organizational skills.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
• Strong reporting, dashboard creation, and data analysis capabilities.Preferred Certifications• PMP (Project Management Professional)
• PRINCE2
• ITIL Foundation or higher
