Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Technical Project Lead to join the Jammer Technique Optimization (JATO) team at Point Mugu, CA. The Technical Project Lead should have proven experience in Electronic Warfare or RF Engineering and strong leadership skills that will be used to lead engineering test teams.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Drive the successful completion of technically complex Electronic Warfare projects, to include modeling and simulation and lab, ground, and flight experiments.
  • Define project goals and objectives; break down projects into smaller tasks; establish schedules; identify resources to achieve goals.
  • Assign tasks to engineering team members; organize and lead regular meetings to review project progress; foster communication between cross-disciplinary teams (systems, electrical, and software engineers, and operators; track project progress.
  • Conduct risk assessments (technical, financial, scheduling); troubleshoot technical issues and communicate resulting impacts.
  • Hypothesize and develop experiments to provide insight into cause-and-effect. Create and validate experimentation plans/procedures traced to requirements.
  • Execute experimentation to characterize and assess effectiveness of subsystems in various laboratory and field environments, including military service-level events.
  • Generate technical documentation: specifications, test plans, test reports, and verification documents.
  • Use clear verbal and written communication to collaborate on requirements and to present data and explain results to management and customers.
  • Conduct domestic or international travel to support requirements collaboration, experimentation, and customer meetings.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:
  • Bachelors and five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experiment planning, execution, documentation.
  • Engineering mindset for problem-solving project challenges.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work in a lab environment and participate in integration and test activities.
  • Candidate must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have an active SECRET security clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Strong understanding of RF/microwave principles and system and subsystem-level analysis methodologies.
  • Experience in a military Operational Test squadron.
  • Experience coordinating events with US Test and Training Ranges.
  • Programming with MATLAB/Simulink.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
