OverviewLMI is seeking an experiencedTechnical Program Manager (TPM) to lead execution and delivery of next-generation software capabilities supporting the U.S. Army's modernization efforts. This position requires an active Secret clearance.
This individual will serve as the operational leader responsible for coordinating execution across engineering, product management, UX/UI,DevSecOps, cybersecurity, and forward deployed engineering teams. Working closely with Army stakeholders, the Product Owner, Engineering Lead, and corporate leadership, the TPM will ensure successful delivery of mission-critical software capabilities through disciplined program management, Agile execution, and cross-functional collaboration.This position is remote (U.S.)with up to25% travelto customer sites, integration events, demonstrations, and team planning sessions.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Lead day-to-day execution of a next-generation software program supporting Army modernization initiatives.
- Coordinate execution across Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI,DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, and Forward Deployed Engineering teams.
- Manage integrated master schedules, program milestones, cross-team dependencies, and release timelines.
- Drive Agile program execution, including sprint planning, release planning, backlog synchronization, and program increment planning.
- Track program performance across cost, schedule, technical execution, risks, and delivery metrics.
- Partner closely with the Product Owner and Engineering Lead to ensure operational priorities are translated into successful software releases.
- Facilitate cross-functional planning meetings, engineering reviews, sprint demonstrations, customer engagements, and executive program reviews.
- Identify execution risks, resource constraints, and technical dependencies while developing mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate software releases across development, testing, cybersecurity, accreditation, and operational deployment environments.
- Support software accreditation activities, RMF documentation, Authority to Operate (ATO) efforts, and IL6 deployment planning.
- Develop executive briefings, program dashboards, status reports, and customer-facing presentations.
- Coordinate staffing activities, onboarding, resource planning, and contractor performance across the program.
- Foster strong working relationships with Army stakeholders, software engineers, product leadership, and corporate leadership.
- Support business development, capture efforts, technical demonstrations, and proposal development for future opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active Secret clearance is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years of experience managing complex technical programs or enterprise software development efforts.
- Experience leading Agile software development programs delivering cloud-native applications.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, Scrum, andDevSecOpspractices.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams across software development, product management, cybersecurity, UX/UI, and infrastructure.
- Experience managing integrated schedules, program risks, dependencies, budgets, and software release planning.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience briefing senior government and corporate leadership.
- Experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Desired Skills
- Experience delivering software products within Department of Defense environments.
- Familiarity with Army modernization initiatives, Mission Command systems, or Command and Control applications.
- Experience supporting IL5/IL6 environments, RMF, Authority to Operate (ATO), or secure software deployments.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes, OCI containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices.
- Experience supporting AI-enabled software products.
- Experience coordinating geographically distributed software development teams.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM),SAFeAgilist, or equivalent Agile certification preferred.
- Previous experience supporting operational military customers or defense technology programs.
Target salary range: $155,000 - 220,000
