As a Technical Program Manager, Fleet Operations, you will own the end-to-end operational lifecycle of Axon's Outpost-enabled mobile asset fleet, including company-owned and leased trailers deployed to customer agencies. You will play a critical role in ensuring fleet readiness, safety, compliance, and reliability while helping build the operating model needed to scale Axon's mobile fleet footprint. This is a highly execution-oriented opportunity to combine program management, vendor coordination, logistics, and fleet operations in a fast-growing, customer-facing environment.
What You'll Do

Location: Onsite at our Phoenix, AZ Facility
Reports to: Senior Manager, Fleet Operations
Direct Reports: None
  • Own the full lifecycle of Outpost-enabled mobile fleet assets, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, inventory management, disposition, and transfer or resale.
  • Maintain accurate, real-time inventory records for company-owned, leased, and vendor-managed trailers and associated equipment across internal asset-management platforms, including GeoTab.
  • Establish and manage scalable logistics processes for deploying, recovering, and repositioning trailers and equipment across customer agencies and geographic regions.
  • Partner closely with the PSO team to coordinate successful customer-site delivery, setup, field support, recovery, and redeployment of mobile units.
  • Design and implement a preventive maintenance program that supports fleet readiness, reduces downtime, and includes required quick-turn repair inventory.
  • Ensure assets are road-ready and compliant with applicable DOT, federal, state, and local requirements, including inspections, safety standards, registration, title, insurance, and documentation.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage third-party maintenance, repair, transportation, and logistics vendors; establish service-level expectations and monitor vendor performance.
  • Coordinate repairs, inspections, maintenance activities, and field support needs while minimizing operational risk and disruption to customer deployments.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for fleet-related operational issues, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders including PSO, Finance, Legal, Operations, and external vendors.
  • Own fleet documentation, reporting, audit readiness, and compliance records, and support Finance with the disposition of capital assets.
What You Bring
  • Experience managing physical assets, fleet operations, logistics, field operations, or a related operational program environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning complex, cross-functional programs involving multiple stakeholders, vendors, regional operations, and time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Familiarity with fleet maintenance, transportation logistics, DOT compliance, vehicle or trailer registration, insurance, inspections, and asset lifecycle management, or the ability to quickly develop expertise in these areas.
  • Strong vendor-management skills, including establishing service expectations, tracking performance, resolving issues, and coordinating work across multiple regions.
  • Highly organized, process-driven, and execution-focused, with strong attention to detail and a bias toward ownership, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience using asset-management, fleet-management, inventory, or logistics systems; familiarity with GeoTab is a plus.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a hands-on, operationally intensive environment while communicating clearly with internal teams, customer agencies, and external partners.
  • A commitment to Axon's values and mission, with a focus on delivering safe, reliable, and scalable solutions for public safety customers.
