Content & Business Products (CBP) Overview:

The Content & Business Products (CBP) teams are fundamental to Netflix's mission to entertain the world. This organization is responsible for building the products and services that optimize and automate the entire content creation lifecycle, from initial concept and financial planning to global launch and promotion.

CBP is the engine behind "pitch to play," enabling our teams to create, manage, and distribute content at scale. Within CBP, the Content & Studio domain invests in technology that enables creators, creatives, studio, localization, and production teams to deliver more value on screen.

Our Team: Content and Studio Engineering

Content and Studio Engineering builds and operates the technology that powers Netflix's content journey from pitch to post. Partnering with product, engineering, data science, design, and CBP Success, Content and Studio Engineering invests in technology that enables creators, creatives, studio, localization, and production teams to deliver more value on screen. Our team delivers robust infrastructure, media management, and workflow solutions for everything from evaluating pitches and managing deals to orchestrating petabytes of production media, scheduling releases, and supporting post-production processes. We enable data-informed decision-making for content executives, support global studio operations, and pioneer new workflows with Generative AI - all while ensuring seamless integration across Netflix and its subsidiaries.

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager with a background in studio or media tech to drive high-impact, cross-functional programs. This role requires strong collaboration with product, engineering, data science, and senior leadership to execute complex, strategic technology programs across the studio.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of programs from inception to delivery, proactively driving progress with a high agency mindset.

• Lead multiple cross-functional programs, in collaboration with product, engineering, design, and data science, that deliver technical solutions across the content journey - from pitch and deal management to production media orchestration, release scheduling, and post-production.

• Drive engagement with cross-functional partners, work to decompose requirements into technical execution plans with measurable milestones, effectively optimize scope and schedule, manage cross-functional dependencies, and proactively identify and manage risks.

• Craft clear, concise communication regarding progress toward goals, reporting status and insights to stakeholders and executive leadership across studio operations.

• Provide domain expertise in studio or media technology infrastructure to form technical strategies with engineering partners.

• Apply strong technical, organizational, and communication skills to devise sound technical approaches to abstract goals.

• Build strong relationships and rally the team with high emotional intelligence and exceptional listening skills.

• Operate independently, challenge the status quo, and always play for the larger team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical program management experience

• Background in content, studio or media technology and/or Generative AI/ML platforms

• Proven experience driving large-scale software projects, managing the definition of technical strategies, and building long-term scalable solutions

• Highly skilled, experienced, and enjoys orchestrating multiple programs with many moving parts and creating partnerships with cross-functional teams

• Ability to identify solution gaps, debate technical approaches, and influence product vs. technology tradeoffs

• Deep understanding of content processing workflows in media and entertainment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate business impact and technical constraints tailored to the audience

• As comfortable speaking technically as non-technically and able to bridge between the two

• Detail-oriented, can identify what's missing in planning and execution of software development, testing, and launch

• Exemplify the Netflix culture by understanding, advocating, and demonstrating its values
