Technical Product Coordinator (Jira & Project Management)

Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Technical Product Coordinator to manage the team's Jira backlog, support execution planning across product improvement initiatives, and serve as a liaison between engineering, leadership, and customers. This role combines backlog management, execution planning, stakeholder communication, and Jira administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the team's Jira backlog, ensuring work items are properly written, prioritized, labeled, and groomed.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement sessions with engineering and product stakeholders.
  • Ensure epics, stories, and tasks are appropriately scoped, sequenced, and linked to broader initiatives.
  • Monitor sprint and cycle health, identify blockers, and maintain accurate status reporting.
  • Establish and maintain consistent ticket hygiene standards, including naming conventions, acceptance criteria, and definition of done.
  • Build and manage Jira automation rules to streamline workflows.
  • Design and maintain Jira dashboards that provide visibility into sprint health, velocity, burndown/burnup, and cumulative flow.
  • Build and manage project timelines and roadmaps to visualize cross-team dependencies and delivery milestones.
  • Create custom filters, saved searches, and reports using Jira Query Language (JQL).
  • Maintain data integrity and consistent ticket management across projects.
  • Partner with engineering leads and product owners to develop and maintain product improvement roadmaps.
  • Translate strategic priorities into actionable execution plans with defined milestones and ownership.
  • Identify dependencies, risks, and resource gaps across multiple workstreams.
  • Track progress against plans and proactively communicate schedule risks.
  • Facilitate planning activities, including sprint planning, roadmap reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customer communications related to product updates, timelines, and issue status.
  • Gather and organize customer feedback into actionable backlog items.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and distribute status updates, release notes, roadmap communications, dashboards, and presentation materials.
  • Coordinate cross-functional communication regarding priorities, timelines, feature releases, and known issues.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of IT experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of program management experience.
  • Expertise in project management.
  • Advanced experience with Jira, including:
    • Advanced Roadmaps
    • Jira automation
    • Workflow configuration
    • Dashboard creation and reporting
    • Release tracking

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification program.
  • Experience collecting customer feedback and partnering with product teams.
  • Experience supporting product incubation, developer enablement, or engineering productivity initiatives.
  • Experience communicating with customers and stakeholders through status updates, release communications, and presentations.
